New Feature in DOT-Chain Defence: Combat-Tested Drone Ratings Now Available

Military personnel can now rate and review drones directly within the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace. This newly launched feedback system allows users to share firsthand insights about drone performance in real combat scenarios. The feature was introduced in response to requests from service members who participated in the pilot program. By enabling reviews based on real-world battlefield experience, the platform empowers units to make more informed procurement decisions going beyond technical specifications to include practical, mission-critical feedback.
“Following the pilot launch, we actively engaged with the first military users of the marketplace to rapidly improve the system,” said Alyona Zhuzha, Director of the Digitalization Department at the Defence Procurement Agency (DPA). “We visited brigades, conducted surveys, and gathered direct feedback from the field. The introduction of the drone rating system is just the first step from a broader list of suggestions provided by service members. We remain fully committed to ongoing collaboration with frontline units, because our priority is to ensure that DOT-Chain Defence is genuinely useful to the military and simplifies the process of ordering combat equipment.”
Every authorized user can now rate drones on a five-point scale — from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). In addition to assigning a score, users can leave detailed reviews highlighting both upsides and downsides. Feedback may include insights on field performance, ease of use, build quality, resistance to interference, and other operational characteristics observed during deployment.
Currently, drone ratings and reviews are visible only to military personnel. In future iterations, manufacturers will also gain access to this feedback, enabling direct communication with end users and allowing them to respond to comments from service members. Additionally, an upcoming feature will allow military users to rate the usefulness of individual reviews. This will help surface the most relevant and trustworthy insights, improving the overall objectivity and reliability of information within the system.
