DPA expands the range of drones available in the DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace

The Defence Procurement Agency continues to sign state contracts with drone manufacturers –  eleven companies have already been integrated into the DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace. Among the manufacturers whose drones will be available to the military are:

  • Escadrone
  • General Cherry
  • Gryph Dron
  • TAF Drones
  • GRIM
  • Vyriy Drone

In the pilot project, 12 combat brigades are able to order FPV drones through the marketplace. In the future, the system will be scaled up to all the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the list of drone types available for order will be expanded too.

"There are many drones on the market, but units do not always get exactly what they need to perform their tasks. The DOT-Chain Defence is set to change this logic: the military can place specific orders for specific needs. The manufacturer sees real demand, the unit sees its supplier, and DPA provides transparent and prompt support," said Arsen Zhumadilov, Director of DPA .

The marketplace format allows the military to independently select and order the necessary drones using funds from DPA. For the pilot phase, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has allocated UAH 1 billion to the Agency for the procurement of drones. DPA provides full support for the process, from signing contracts to organising logistics and payment.

Due to the digital model of interaction, the ordering process is simplified as much as possible – the military only needs three electronic signatures to receive the drone. This reduces delivery time to a few weeks. A brief instruction for the military on how to work in the DOT-Chain Defence is available on DPA website at the link.
