The Defence Procurement Agency invites FPV drone manufacturers to join the DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace

The Defence Procurement Agency invites manufacturers and suppliers of codified FPV drones to submit their products to the DOT-Chain Defence platform. This IT system will operate within the framework of providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with weaponry and is designed to streamline and accelerate the procurement process.

“The marketplace format will allow all manufacturers of codified products to offer them through transparent market-based instruments — as it is the military personnel themselves who will select the drones they require via DOT-Chain Defence. In addition, the system includes a pre-order function, which enables companies to clearly understand the demand volume for their products,” stated Arsen Zhumadilov, Director of the Defence Procurement Agency.

The 2025 state budget allocates over UAH 128 billion for the procurement of unmanned systems, part of which will be implemented via the digital platform. The Agency will conclude contracts with suppliers based on budget commitments formed on orders placed through the IT system. Product prices will be fixed for a specified period, while the volume of orders will be determined directly by the military end-users.

At the initial stage, only verified manufacturers and suppliers of FPV drones may join the DOT-Chain Defence system. Companies that have not yet undergone the verification process but wish to participate may do so by following the instructions provided in the “For Suppliers” section of the Agency’s official website.

Verified companies will receive requests for commercial offers, along with a template in which the technical specifications for each individual drone must be provided, including but not limited to:

  • drone type, model designation, and image;
  • frame and dimensions;
  • electric motor, propellers, and battery;
  • control receiver and frequencies;
  • onboard camera;
  • video transmitter and frequencies;
  • radio transmitter antenna;
  • operational altitude and effective range, etc.

This data will be included in the product listing within the DOT-Chain Defence platform, allowing military units to select drones based, among other factors, on their technical specifications.

Additionally, the Agency recently released an explainer for manufacturers and suppliers of unmanned systems, detailing its engagement process with the defence procurement market.
